Cookbook Giveaway: “Mint, Cinnamon & Blossom Water” Flavours of Cyprus, Kopiaste!

My dear friend Ivy, author of the blog Kopiaste…to Greek Hospitality has generously offered to give away her e-book to one of my lucky readers!

The e-book: Mint, Cinnamon & Blossom Water, Flavours of Cyprus, Kopiaste “is a collection of over 230 of the best Greek-Cypriot savory recipes, revised and updated with a fresh, modern new look, a brief history of the recipe, clear instructions, useful tips and 100’s of mouth-watering pictures, with a lot of step-by-step instructions with pictures. The recipes are written both in the U.S. and the metric system and substitutes are given for local ingredients.”

Volume 1 includes recipes for Mezedes (appetizers), salads, side dishes and main dishes.

Volume 2 includes recipes for breads, pies, snacks and desserts.

If you want to learn more about Greek-Cypriot cooking and culture than this is the book for you! “The cookbook is not only addressed to the lovers of Greek food in general but is also a handbook to all the Greeks of “diaspora” who will not only get back to the simple hearty fare of their childhood by recreating the recipes of their ancestors but will also come closer to their culture and heritage.”

To enter leave me a comment telling me what your favorite Greek dish is. I will chose one winner from the entries this Wednesday to receive both volumes.

Buy this book in print.
Purchase the e-book and view some of Ivy’s step-by-step videos.

Just saw some of the recipes in Ivy’s  book.
I love the spanakopita, and saw the step by step recipe to make phyllo …it is usually not available in many places..very glad that I came across this one.
Incidentally Greece is also my favourite holiday destination and I am planning to visit Santorini this year.

Reeni, Thank you for giving these wonderful books a spotlight!  I couldn’t choose between avgolemono, spanakopita, baklava, tzatziki  — I could go on and on.  Can’t recall ever having a Greek dish that I didn’t love!
