Blogger Burger Club: Green Chile Pepper & Cream Cheese Burger

It’s time to see who joined the first challenge of the Blogger Burger Club and rated the Green Chile & Cream Cheese Burger from an episode of Man vs. Food.

1 Star = Didn’t like and wouldn’t make again.
2 Stars = Liked but wouldn’t make again.
3 Stars = Liked and will make again.

4 Stars = Loved! Will make often.

Cooking Stuff: Green Chile & Cream Cheese Burger

Bob of Cooking Stuff gave it 3 stars. And says “It probably could have had four with bacon. Heh.”

He also says ” The cream cheese balances out the heat of the peppers and the flavors go really well together. Next time I’m going to do half and half green chilies and jalapenos, I bet that would be a good time.”

Debbi Does Dinner: Green Chile & Cream Cheese Burger

Debbi of Debbi Does Dinner…Healthy & Low Calorie rated it the highest rating with 4 stars. Her kids renamed the club “Build a bountiful, bedazzling, beautiful blogger burger club.” 

Debbi really loved the cream cheese on it “I know many people put mayo on burgers. I’m telling you, skip the mayo and just use cream cheese. Seriously it tastes so much better and it creates a similar texture.” 

And she raves about the burger itself. “This is a fantastic recipe on so many levels. I know it’s just a burger but really, it’s awesome.” 

Food Junkie From Texas: Green Chile & Cream Cheese Burger

Daphne of Food Junkie From Texas  also rated it 4 stars. She grilled her patties, used home-made buns and roasted poblanos. She says its “Yummo!” 

Barbara Bakes: Green Chile Pepper & Cream Cheese Burger

Barbara of Barbara Bakes rated it 2 stars. She liked it but wouldn’t make it again. 

Her boys “liked the peppers on the burger. Their only complaint was they didn’t care for the cream cheese.”

Barbara liked it and “thought the cream cheese was a good balance to the spiciness of the chilies. I did feel like it needed something more though.”

I rated the burger 3 stars. I really liked the coolness of the cream cheese with the chiles but felt like it needed more too. A tomato for some acidity and bacon like Bob suggested would be delicious and would round out the flavors further.

I averaged out the ratings and the Green Chile & Cream Cheese Burger gets an overall rating of 3.2 out of 4. It’s somewhere between “Will make again” and “Loved! Will make often.”
