Help Me “Reinvent a Classic” French Fry with Alexia Foods!

I’m so excited! And I just can’t hide it…anymore.

Alexia Foods has invited me and 20 other bloggers to create our very own one-of-a-kind french fry flavor!

I’ll be testing my ideas in a month-long challenge and asking for your input.

Yes, I get to eat french fries galore for an entire month. Unabashedly.  All in the name of research. For the greater good of french fry lovers everywhere!

The top four creations will be picked by Alexia’s research and development team then put up to a consumer vote on Facebook.

The winning french fry flavor will be produced and sold in the fall of 2012 with the winner’s face on the package. Imagine that.  My face plastered on french fry packages in freezers all over the country. That would make me almost-famous, wouldn’t it?

The top four winners also get to attend the Foodbuzz Blogger Festival in November to unveil their winning creations for sampling!

So, my dear friends, this is where you  come in. I need your help! Your french fry expertise.

What does your favorite type of french fry look like?

Is it a Russet potato or a sweet potato?

What shape/cut is it?

Julienne, waffle, wedge or crinkle cut?

What are your flavor ideas?

Salty or sweet? Spices or herbs? Heat or mild? Cheesy or not?

Is there an Alexia flavor you’ve always wanted to see on the store shelves?   Now’s your chance!

Inquiring minds want to know, so don’t be shy!

French fries are delicious.  It depends on the taste buds.  I enjoy them almost any way.
garlic and herb with a sprinkling of parmesan.
    chilli
    salt and pepper
lemon and and a good vinegar with a sprinkling of sea salt
also like them in toasted salad rolls with mayonaise and mustard
serve them in a broth with vege
have a bowl of them on a movie night with various dressings of choice and dipping sauces
roasted in the oven in a garlic, and onion  cream sauce
    curry.  definitely curry.
    make salads with them
roll french fries in seasoned flour with spices and herbs of choice bake drizzled generously with olive oil or fry in olive oil.
    serve them in lettuce wraps

  4. What a huge honour! You’ll be fabulous I’m sure and come up with a winning recipe

I love Russet potatoes that are julienned with salt, pepper, and sour cream to dip them in. Sounds gross I know but when they are piping hot and freshly seasoned, they are the BOMB!
