Homemade Shamrock Shakes are a cinch to make with vanilla ice cream, milk and peppermint extract. I made them because I thought I was missing something. . .there’s such hype over the McDonald’s shakes by the same name. . . I know people who go totally crazy for them.
They remind me of the vanilla Alba shakes I used to drink all the time when I was in high school. I used to put peppermint in mine to make them minty fresh.
These are way better ’cause there’s ice cream involved. . . but I’m still not getting it. Yes, they’re yummy but it’s still just a vanilla mint shake. We’re not reinventing Nutella. Or Reese’s peanut butter cups.
They take all of 5 minutes to make and you can have them any time of the day or night.
Whenever your little heart desires.
No need to wait for those golden arches to serve them up for you with a ton of chemicals and preservatives to boot.
